'Hereditary Noise' is an archival album taking the audience underground through city graveyards, where human bodily remains lay with all their passive activity, still ex-posed to the noise they have been creating ages ago.


Soundscapes of graveyards are recorded with seismographic microphones that are dipped under the soil. These microphones are sensitive to lower frequencies; sounds of the bigger objects, like tectonic plates, car tires, engines, footsteps... Even if there are data of smaller beings in
these recordings (biophonies), it is not audible enough due to the density of other data created by the city (antropophony).

Antropohony > Biophony

 

Though, if listened as a quadrophonic installation, the audience may get closer to each of the location/speaker and differentiate the characteristics from one another. Most audible differences were due to the crowdedness of the street close by and the electricity interference around it.
